beside the time consuming cross border check the tour was well planned and excellent organized. The group was a good mix of people from all over the world, which made it addional interessting!
At least once in a lifetime experiences in Jordan

This is one of the very best tours we have ever had the good fortune to participate in. The organization was perfect, the cultural and natural sights were breath-taking, the guide Mahdi Hanini was absolute wonderful (honest, funny, precise, knowledgeable), the bus driver Ismeel was calm and expert (the bus had problems on the return but we got back to the border safely and only with a slight delay). All the places we visited had cordial staff, comfortable accommodations, and good food.
Amazing place, great tour

We had a great time on the 3 day tour to Petra and Wadi Rum. Our tour guide, Abdullah, was great. He was very knowledgeable and personable. We were well taken care of.

Things to note if you are considering this tour. Bring only necessary baggage. We left the bulk of our luggage at a hotel and just brought some backpacks. Bringing full luggage will slow you down a lot when coming back into Israel at the end of your tour. Others on the tour had a much longer process due to security checking baggage. Return through the border crossing is CHAOS! Make it easier on yourself by minimizing the amount of bags.

Also, in Petra, the 3 day tour gives you several hours of free exploration. You are only there once, do the big climbs. Our group ranged in age from 55 to 67. We were slower than younger groups but did the Treasury overlook hike. It was well worth the effort and time. When done, the walk out of Petra was hell lol. On the way in, we didn't realize how much we were descending. That means, the whole way out was uphill. After that big climb, we were exhausted. If you are feeling tired, take a horse or electric car to get out. BUT, don't let getting tired keep you from doing it. It's a once in a lifetime experience.

One disappointment is the camp that we stayed in. The place itself was fine. It was in an interesting location and a pretty cool place. However, we were really hoping to see a lot of stars while sleeping out in the desert. This did not happen. There were too many lights to see any real stars. There is a hill at the camp that they light up at night. It looks cool but you don't get to see a lot of stars.
Amazing Tour! Phenomenal Sites & Guide

Recommended!

We did the 3 day Petra & Wadi Rum tour.

Our guide Ali was phenomenal, knowledgeable and funny. The driver Anas was also great, and the quality of the bus, general organisation of the trip and accomodation, were all as expected (or better). Everything went super smoothly.

One thing that could have been improved is that we were not able to get a confirmation of if we could get our transport back to Jerusalem instead of Tel Aviv until the very last minute. That was annoying and created unnecessary stress.

Also note that the 10% discount for Abraham Hostel guest doesn’t apply to this tour. Not clearly noted when you book on their site.

All in all, would do again. Thanks Ali & Abraham Tours :)

Our tour guide Ali was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and honest. Petra was incredible and learning about and meeting the Beduins was an amazing experience. Only set back was the border crossing from Jordan back to Israel. It's was very chaotic.
