Excellent organizational skill of a complex process
243balum, 04-01-2023
The tour company organized this very complex tour very smoothly. The Israeli driver picked us up at our Hotel Lobby and drove us to the Jordanian Border. After crossing the border, Jordanian Driver and an excellent guide took care of our 3-day stay in Amman and Wadi Rum Camp. We visited Jarash, Amman, Petra, and the deserts of Wadi Rum. On the last day, we were dropped at the Aqaba border crossing. The third driver received us on the Israel side and drove our group back to the Hotel. The whole process was seamless and we genuinely appreciate the organizational skill of the Petra from Israel tour operators and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and learned a lot from Wa'el the Guide.
I would love to do it again!

I loved this trip. Our guide was amazing, the group is not too much people (20), and you have also time apart from it. The best experience to discover a bit about Jordan. The Bedouin who hosted us were so nice, the food so delicious, and Petra and Wadi Rum are must-do in Jordan. A bubble away from everyday life!
10/10 except for the food

What an incredible trip! Going into this trip we were super concerned about being stuck wasting lots of time at the border or waiting for logistical reasons and not spending enough time actually touring but that was simply not the case. The border crossing was handled super professionally and we felt that the entire trip was so well run. The one complaint we had was that the first day when we had free time for lunch to choose where we wanted to eat we were taken all together to a fancy expensive restaurant where the food was sub par and we weren't even given menus we were just sorta handed things. We would have much preferred being dropped at the strip mall we were taken to to exchange money after lunch which had dozens of small falafel stands and coffee shops to eat at instead. As a celiac I struggled to eat but did bring a lot of snacks with me so I was okay it was just a little sad because I paid all that money for the meals and watched as everyone else ate but other than the food situation the trip was phenomenal and our guide was super kind and knowledgable!
Good experience, poor communication

Good experience, poor itinerary/planning communication, recommend 3 day over 2 day.

We didn't know until days prior what time we were getting picked up & dropped off and packing recommendations.

We were picked up at 5:30am but there the Israel/Jordan border wasn't open until 7:30. So in future later pick ups. Also our driver was happy to call the guide on other side when we asked but that should of been coordinated so we didnt have to wait.

Us 2 Canadian girls did a 3 day/2 night tour (Day 1: Jerash city, Mount Nebu then drive and stay at Petra Nights hotel, Day 2: Petra and drive to Wadi Rum where say in overnight Bedouin camp Day 3: Truck ride [not Jeep] in desert and wait all day in Aquaba until 7:30pm for transport across border and then a 5 hour ride back to Tel Aviv with no earlier option)

Our guide just said he was leaving us, and said things will be arranged but didn't know by who or where, also didnt know when doing Jeep tour, we didn't know until 2nd day what time we were leaving.

Other groups from same tour company has similar communication issues and different guides who didn't know next steps. Other groups also were left waiting after Israel border before Jordan border for a guide to assist them through.

Our driver Richard had a very nice car with wifi and very friendly, would recommend again.

PLEASE SEND A ITINERARY IN ADVANCE WITH LOCATIONS, TIMES AND CONTACTS IN ADVANCE.
Room for Improvement

Our driver, Mustafa, was excellent. Tour was overbooked so we were in a minivan and missed out on all the tour guide information. Communication was subpar, so there was often confusion of what we were doing next, where we were meeting, and what was included in our tour cost. That said, Wadi Rum and Petra are both must-sees! But Tourist Israel could tighten things up to make the experience that much better.
