The early start, it was excellent timing, not too hot yet, and not too crowded. We started with bus ride at 7am, we were able to do a lot of activities and still had enough/extra time to shop around.
A great taste of Jordan!

We booked the 2 day Petra tour with Abraham Tours.
Our guide, Mahdi, was excellent! Knowledgable, fun and organised. He was welcoming, considerate and very informative.
Although it is a full, hectic 2 days, you have the chance to see so much…from Mount Nebo to the spectacular vision that is Petra.
The early starts are worth it, given how much there is to see and the hot weather.
This 2 day Abraham Tour included a night at an authentic Bedouin Camp which was stunning.
If I could include one thing, it would be a visit to a Mosque to round off the Jordanian experience. I’m sure that guests would happily bring appropriate clothing so as to remain respectful if informed in advance.
Thank you for a once in a lifetime experience.
Top notch experience

There isn’t enough I can say about this trip. The sites were amazing, the camp was wonderful and the guide (Mahdi) - wow! My son celebrated his 11th birthday on the first day of the trip. After the guide discovered it was his birthday, unbeknownst to us, he arranged for a surprise at the Bedouin camp. At dinner, they turned out all the lights, brought out a cake and sang happy birthday. Throughout the day, he received gifts from the guide, the driver and several shops we stopped in. Madhi made this an experience my son will never forget. As for the sites, Madhi had a ton of detail and interesting stories to share about all of the locations. He provided excellent direction on how to make the most of our time at Petra and work with the locals. I would take this tour again in a heartbeat.
Awesome 2-day Petra Tour

Awesome experience - this was my first tour and I'll definitely be doing tours in the future because of this. Our guide Mahdi was a gem, super knowledgable, and really incredible at keeping everything organized and fun. It's a lot to do in 2 days and Abraham does a great job of getting you to see as much as possible in those 2 days. The accommodation was incredible and of course, Petra was unbelievable. Definitely recommend going through Abraham!
Communication is key to a relationship so is organization

Comments on the Abraham side:

1. Why would you have a whats app group that the people who are on the trip can’t even message in? It was messaging only for admins and the only message we got was to fill out a form that the border crossing didn’t even need. Maybe allow us all to message into the group and if it’s an inconvenience for the admins to get thousands of messages maybe just have (1) admin in it not 5.

2. Maybe a little more help with the border crossing, we understand you can’t come with us across the border but maybe a more detailed instruction would help. We all got to the border hopped off the bus and the driver didn’t even say a word of what to do next. So we hopped in trying to figure it out ourselves then we went into the terminal, ✅, and then went to the desk because we kept hearing “you need to exchange money” to cross so we exchanged money hopped over to get our border crossing visa ✅ then went to the final terminal to get across to the Jordanian side and the women said passenger fee and showed us this little QR code thing and informed us we have to go back into the line we were just in, that now has 20 people in it, to pay. Later we found out after wasting 30-45 minutes that thing we prepaid for on the email you sent us was the same thing we just paid again because we didn’t know where to apply this prepaid amount from the email you sent us.

Let me break it down for you people who are reading my review.
1 you get dropped off at the terminal
2. Go into the terminal
3. Go to the desk furthest to the left next to the information center at the bottom it will say “passenger fee and currency exchange”.
4. Get your currency (if you prepaid for the Border crossing on the israeli side skip steps 7-9)
5. Go with your dinars and prepaid pass to the first window get your exit visa from Israel.
6. Now go to the next window and give her your prepaid QR code along with your passport.
7 you are now in Jordan.
8 for the people who didn’t prepay for there exit fee from Israel when you’re exchanging money also say “I’d like to pay for my passenger fee”
9. Follow steps 5&6 after you get your passenger fee and dinars.

On the Jordanian side, if you get Mahdi:
He takes care of everything from passport control, to getting your visa into Jordan he even spots you the 50 dinar till the end of the trip and you pay him back.

3. We got across the border relatively fast and called Abraham tours to ask where the shuttle was and you guys informed us “it’s 10 minutes out” we were very relieved to here this after sitting on a extremely uncomfortable 4 hour bus ride. Sure enough 30 minutes goes by and no sign of the bus driver. 45 minutes after the phone call there is the bus driver. Trust me as a tourist I’d much rather hear “he’s 1 hour out” and he comes in 45 minutes as opposed to 10 minutes and he’s now late.

The one big thing that turned this into a 4 star review and not a 3 star is MAHDI!!! He’s a great tour guide and a true asset to abraham touring company. Because on the Jordanian side he always made us feel safe and secure. He’s also probably one of the most knowledgeable people on the face of this planet! If you go on Abraham tours make sure you get Mahdi!!!
