What To Expect

Dead Sea
A landmark natural attraction for those on a trip to Israel, the Dead Sea or ‘Sea of Salt’ is situated at the lowest point on Earth, 427 meters below sea level. At nearly 35% salinity it is one of the saltiest bodies of water on the planet, creating a harsh environment for animals - making it impossible to live there, hence its name. Its extreme saltiness also means that rather than swimming in the Dead Sea, people float on the surface.

Masada National Park
The impressive fortress of Massada was the last Jewish stronghold to fall to the Romans in 73 AD, a place that symbolizes the exile of the Jews from the Holy Land. The events that occurred here denote bravery and self-sacrifice of the Jewish people.

Worth it!

Excellent guide and meaningful trip. Very knowledgeable and patient. Easy from start to finish. Glad we did this tour.
Wonderful tour

We had a great experience with our tour guide and the way the tour was set up. The tour was punctual and gave us ample time to enjoy our time in Masada and in the Dead Sea. By the way, use shoes for the Dead Sea. Our guide was knowledgeable and pleasant, and the price was very reasonable.
Absolutely recommend it!
A fantastic guide for two fantastic sites – Masada and the Dead Sea

The tour was really well organised, and it took us to two high profile, must see destinations in Israel. But the the really strong part of this review is for Marco Alexander, our fantastic tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and available. He spoke at least two or three languages fluently, and possibly more.
As a mother tongue Italian/English speaker, he was great for our family (as we are Italian and English), and I would certainly recommend him to other Italian tourists. Whilst Italian was not formally part of the tour, he had no issue switching between languages for our benefit.

He was very engaging with all members of the group, and we thoroughly enjoyed his company for the day. Having a tour guide like that really makes a huge difference, and we came away exhausted, but having had a very enjoyable experience.

On the specifics of the tour – Masada was fantastic, worth every minute. We then stopped midway between Masada and the Dead Sea for lunch, – I believe it was the Dead Sea, Scrolls tourist centre, and honestly, the food was terrible, overpriced, and it was a rather chaotic and disappointing experience. This is not the fault of the tour company, but I would urge them to either consider an alternative, or to tell guests to bring snacks with them before we set off. It really was terrible.

The dead sea was great – very busy, but a well developed, tourist centre. It was quite treacherous getting in and out of the sea, as the mud was wet and lots of people were slipping. And elderly gentleman in our group fell over and hurt himself. But again, this is not feedback for the tour company.

Overall, well organised and efficient.

The bus picks us up from our hotel and dropped us off in the evening.
Two very different experiences

Two very different days.
Day 1:
Starts with a lie…the driver will be at your hotel in 5 mins…takes 30 mins. A palestine driver that does not speaks English drives at 100 km/h and cannot explain where is our tour group. Crosses the Palestine Authority boarder and switches us into another car with a different person driving us inside the West Bank to Bethlehem. Very tense and infuriating. As we “find our group” we are told that it’s not our group or tour operator, bue we are welcomed to join them.
The manager of “Rent a Guide” keeps insisting that all is normal but cannot explain how we ended up being picked up by a taxi, switched to a car inside the West Bank and ending up on another tour…still…all good and normal, don’t worry…
Day 2:
The next day, to Massada and the Dead Sea all worked well.
At the Dead Sea “beach” do not expect nothing close to even a semi-private experience. It’s a true “melting pot” with strange looking dudes recording wonen as the go to and from the beach. No privacy at all! Not the company’s fault

Now you have my full experience with this company. Make your own decision.
Unorganised, too big and is a monopoly.

We booked 4 trips with them while in Israel and barring the first day in Jerusalem when the trip started on time all other days the trips start with a delay of about 45 mins to one hour.

Tour1 : The Jerusalem and Bethlehem tour was great and our guide Sharon could speak good English, very good tour.

Tour2: Masada and Dead sea tour, pick up from Jerusalem and drop at Tel Aviv. The bus came from Tel Aviv only. So while our hotel pick up happened on time, he dropped us at a meeting point where there was no news of our bus. Calling up the call center doesn't help as they are not very conversant in english and tell that the person will come. So we waited for an hour. Problem is that then the time at Dead sea was reduced. Guide Yosef was good and funny.

Our drop location was supposed to be our hotel as per the pass, however with 5 bags we were dropped a Km away. Really upset with that.

So two stars to this trip

Tour 3: Old Jaffa and City tour Tel Aviv

Nothing much in this tour and can be avoided really speaking. You can explore on your own and do more fun activities.
BTW the offices remain shut on Thursday post 4 pm and there is no way to contact them if there is any emergency. The bus also wasn't that clean in the back.

Tour 4: Sea Of Gailelee we skipped.

Overall too commercialised, would rather avoid. Too big now with monopoly types.
