Family of four, 2 adults and two kids.
We were after a tour focused on the life of Jesus and this was it.
Well paced. Relaxed. Many kms travelled and hours on the road but comfortable.
Bus arrived on time but left late for unknown reasons. Picked up the guide on the way and drove to Tel Aviv to collect other passengers and then onto the tour.
Make sure you bring modest clothing or clothing to cover up with or you’ll be denied entry into some of the churches and sacred sites. This wasn’t on our tour email and a few people were caught out and rightfully disappointed. There were shawls and the like to buy by some churches but forewarning is always welcomed. Our tour guide did his best to liaise but it wasn’t the best situation to be in.
Good sights to see and our guide constantly referred sites and sights to the Bible and the life of Jesus which we appreciated.
All in all, a very long day but almost relaxing. Bus driver nailed it. Bus was comfortable - air conditioned and had reclining seats. Bring frozen water bottles to stay hydrated.
Lunch was average in our minds. We’ve travelled a bit and despite the descriptions and price it was pretty basic although the salad buffet was appreciated. Make sure you know the prices of the food and drinks you’ve had as the restaurant owner did try a couple of sneakies on a couple of guests which isn’t cool. Our tour guide sorted it but it was completely unnecessary.
We have one more tour with Tourist Israel tomorrow and hope they deliver on this one as it’s a big one…
Saw all the major sites in the night of Spring-even flowers in the desert and birds migrating
Highlight was lunch in Magdalena and a taste of St Peters fish from the Sea of Galilee!!!
