Jerusalem and Dead Sea day trip from Tel-aviv with fantastic guide (Yoav)

We had a great tour with Yoav (driver and tour guide). It is a small group trip by operator. Even though the price is slightly higher than at other operators, it is worthwhile.  I started from the Tel Aviv hotel, and he patiently explained a lot of historical facts along the way. He is very professional and knowledgeable instructor, and he explained everything about Jerusalem and nearby places. Everything is on time. Even in the pouring rain, we managed to visit almost all of the promised locations in Jerusalem. Throughout the journey, I was never bored.

Highly recommended.

Thanks, Yoav, for a memorable trip.
Great experience in a day trip from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem and the Dead sea

My daughter and I were picked up from Orchid hotel on time (many pick-up hotels to choose from, Orchid is close to Embassy that I stayed) and transferred to #18 coach for the full day tour. Our guide and driver Yoav Malachi was humorous and extremely knowledgeable. He provided thorough information throughout the tour (both on the road and whilst touring Jerusalem/dead sea). He found papers and pens for us to write before the wailing wall. Even with rain after we finished the wailing wall, he managed to explore all interesting places of Jerusalem without feeling too rushed or missing anything. Sufficient time at the Dead Sea to enjoy the water. On the way back, I went to the front seat and enjoyed chatting with him on the way back. It is a great trip for my daughter and myself and we would definitely recommend.

Avi was a great guide, explaining all the attractions very calmly, pickup and drop was also very smooth, only thing that was a thumbs down was the lunch, its a place fixed by tour operator with only 2 option which are pricey and bad.
Other then that a very good experience overall
One option to visit Jerusalem and Dead Sea

This tour takes one to Jerusalem where you viewbtge major highlights apingvwitha drive by a few important sites. Plenty of restrooms breaks and stop at Elvis rest area are included. From there one heads to the Dead Sea with opportunity to take pics with camel at Sea level.
Logistics: one gets picked up either at a designated hotel or stop and are taken to a central location. You change buses and get on your specific tour bus. On return you bus will drop you at designated stop.
Tour guide: I had Omri, nice enough guy, but he kept getting annoyed with some tourists who were holding back the tour. I had had much more engaging and fun tour guides on other tours.
Minor annoyances: They have designated place for lunch. Most people chose to ho elsewhere. The tour guide commented that it was embarrassing that only 3 of 18 ate there. Also you are taken to a designated store to buy souvenirs. The shop closed their doors and we spent 15-20 min there. It did not bother me but many other people were visibily annoyed.
All in all it's a fine enough tour. If I had to redo, I would take one of the smaller sized tours.
Elvis and the Dead Sea

The highlight of this tour was the visit to the Dead Sea — an amazing natural wonder of such spiritual significance. The visit was rushed with less than an hour to wade in the water. The tour guide crudely ensured that the first stop at the Dead Sea was to the souvenir shop. The commerce theme was established at the outset as our very first stop of the day was to an Elvis-themed breakfast cafe. Unbelievably offensive — to think that before we set foot in the Holy Land we were subjected to such a tacky establishment. In addition, our tour guide seemed bored and lackluster for much of the day — clearly knowledgeable she could easily answer questions, but was simply not very thorough.
