What To Expect

Caesarea National Park

The city of Caesarea was constructed under Herod and named after the Roman Emperor, Caesar. From what remains of the ancient city we can see that it was a prosperous and luxurious city. Among the archaeological excavations we can see gateways, a moat and well preserved walls and rooms. There is a perfectly preserved Roman amphitheater which is still used today for performances by Israeli and international artists. Next to the amphitheatre is part of what was once a hippodrome.

The Baha'i Gardens

We continue driving north passing through Haifa where we stop to see the breathtaking Baha'i Shrine and gardens. The terraced gardens cascade down the mountain towards the city below, each of the 19 terraces bursts with colorful flowers and landscaped designs.

Rosh Hanikra

Our next stop is at Rosh HaNikra, the most northerly point along Israel's Mediterranean coast. We descend by cable car into the network of limestone grottoes created by the constant bombardment of waves against the rocks.

Great guide and overall experience was very nice! We took a number of tours from the same company and others, but this specific tour guide and the driver were the best: very professional, knowledgeable, ontime and efficient. They made us all very comfortable and welcome. We enjoyed personal and historic stories by the tour guide while travelling site to site. The guide was polite and easy (low voice) to listen to or just rest/sleep during travels. We didn't feel being (sales) pressured to buy things from a local gift shop.

I would highly recommend this tour if you are fortunate to get Norbert as your guide and his excellent driver colleague. What a knowledgeable man who managed the tour so professionally and politely, but with a great sense of humour and a very kind manner. Best part of the trip was the guide Daniel! He did an amazing job considering there were about 25 people on the tour. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor too. Ask him about where this picture was taken at Caesarea.

I was a little skeptical after reading a negative review below, but I must say my trip was great. They did advertise that they would pick me up at my hotel, but actually there are only a couple of pick up spots. Fortunately there was one very close to my hotel and they did end up dropping me off close to my hotel on the return. The wait at the transfer station wasn't too long as they have several tours all departing from this central parking area.

I would highly recommend this tour if you want to cover a lot of ground in one day.
